I'm not a Sony shill but why is there so much hate for this camera? Look it's definitely not a high-end piece of kit, but I feel like if you actually use it as intended it's great.
I say this cause I swear a lot of these YouTube yuppies are directing their criticisms are the weirdest things. Of course a $700 vlogging camera will not take stable video when held by a trembling crack addict, nor stay cool in tropical summer weather; that's not what I want it for.
> it overheats easily
It's a glorified webcam. It is meant to be used indoors in a tripod with the LCD out. Every test I can find of this confirms that it gets damn hot but doesn't overheat when set to high heat mode.
> bad audio
who actually uses the audio on a mirrorless when vlogging? even a cheap studio mic is 100x better
> bad low light
due almost entirely to using the f3.5 kit lens. And again, why are you vlogging in pitch black darkness?
Watching these reviews (pic related) it really does seem like a skill issue on the part of the reviewers and them being oblivious to the camera's intended purpose. If you're struggling to take high-speed sport shots with this thing, that's on you.
