That being said I've rented an L lens in that price range before and it's not bad, I just couldn't justify the price delta for what seemed like only a mediocre increase in image sharpness. I feel like if you're buying an L series you should be getting one that can do things others can't.
Sheeeeit, I can't even say that's a good option for a one-and-done. OP please report back that the shots speak louder than paper specs, because I honestly don't see the use case.
