Does it make you angry that a lot of very limited stock of films not in production anymore will get used by histers and youtubers making bad snapshits instead of saving it for people or AI with actual talent and photographic eye?

Went out with a girl taking her photographs. Big ass building turned into multiple offices..
One of them is a photography school for Boomers and Groomers
(Hardest lesson for them is how to mask out a red object in a BW converted image)
We go into a random room, turns out it's their storage room.
A fridge with a box inside and full of film...take out couple tri-x400 120 packages and one 4x5" box.
My model is a 8/10 redheaded ukrainian cutie...after we left she asks with a laughter what i'll do if they find it out it was me.

Their members are 99% retired boomers trying to get into art photography in their free time.
They pay 1300€ each semester for basic knowledge !
I was so fucking excited though (before and after) when i saw the box full of film i couldn't
resist and had to take it. I am not proud but fuck them, they don't need that shit.
All they do is digi shit anyways..

No, because as they volume gets low enough, it will drive prices up and companies will get greedy and want to make new interesting stocks or revive old ones to get some of that cash for themselves. Then we will enter a neo-golden age of film

Everything that's not portra or vision3 was literally made for snapshits. It's a physical preset pack. Portra and vision3 are the ones designed to be color graded and can match most other stocks

Film isn't holding back photographic progress

It's the only thing reminding the market that a stills focused camera is still wanted, otherwise everything would be sports and video oriented pro blobs like the r6ii/z6iii. Video and HFR photography is what sells because that's what the majority of paying customers (journalists and commercial videographers) do - artists and their dogme/ansel adams shit be damned.
