I had a 5DII as a teenager before I had to sell it to pay bills, but I still use DPP to process my film scans; it's good for correcting colors on super expired film, and I like overall layout for when I'm sorting through big batches of photos. I also use it in the rare event that I do post processing on the digital photos I take.
I'm sure there are more powerful tools out there but I find it easy enough to use, and I don't do much editing on anything I shoot.

I think it's pretty solid, personally. I don't shoot Canon anymore, but when I did I only used Canon bodies and lenses, so DPP fully supported my RAW processing/editing needs.

It's kinda slow when making edits, and doesn't have the same functionality of paid programs, but for more straightforward processing of RAW files, it's all you need and fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. A good choice.

bettern than fuji (to make conversion you have to connect(!) yes connect, camera via usb mode and then computer can convert using firmware in the camera)

It's arguably one of the better manufacturer-provided pieces of software, better than Capture NX at least. The interface is kinda ugly but the program itself is pretty solid and I enjoy being able to work seamlessly with in-camera profiles when using RAWs.

In my experience it's stable and does the job right. And it's not horribly bloated. Compared to Darktable and Gimp &cet free software it feels pretty easy to understand and use to me.

The batch file rename feature is actually excellent, it lets you do pretty much anything you'd want to very quickly and easily.
I use it to put camera and film info in my film scan filenames.

Just getting to install it is probably a technical feat of strength for all the idiots who use it. If this weren't from the manufacturer itself, people would never even think of using it.

They say it can, but it literally misses the mark. It can achieve a similar look but not 1:1 as they claim it does.

The software is a scam.
