I can't believe people sell this POS for $500-$600.
Once you hold a DSLR in your hands you will probably start your path towards quitting photography right then and there. Some retard will say WELL A PROFESSIONAL COULD OUTSHOOT U WITH A CARDBOARD BOX but ignore them, they're just being autistic. You'll enjoy something nicer more off the bat and then when you are that professional then you can outshoot someone with a cardboard box for laughs.
Also, the stuff between dirt cheap and super nice is easier to get rid of locally. Cheaper stuff is undesirable, super nice stuff only appeals to richer folks who aren't even looking at craigslist and FB market, so in either case you end up losing 13% to ebay to get it sold in less than 6 months.
I recommend instead saving up a little more money for a budget mirrorless setup like a sony a7iii+samyang 35mm f2.8 or a fuji x-t4 or something along those lines. Once considered top end, now a bit old, but did it get worse? Apparently not because such cameras stand to toe toe or even exceed a $2000 nikon mirrorless. McDonalds starts people out at $16/hr, with shifts averaging 7 hours. After government bullshit you'd probably be pulling about $450 a week, so you could probably even afford a really nice camera after working for a month and putting in more conscious composition and editing (when to use B&W, cropping as a skill instead of a cope, etc) practice with your phone, but I recommend against that for previously stated reasons:
Quitting is the least likely AND the least big deal (say, if you need more money back out of it right fucking now) with a semi-nice kit.
And, of course, you'd have more money for lenses.
