I'm requesting recommendations for good photobooks that include writing by the photographer themselves. I've been renting some from the national library recently. Very few of them were edited or written by the photographer. I find this very odd. Seems too hands-off. Looking for examples of work where the photographer was just as capable of writing, editing and publishing as they were of taking photos.
