You often can't have basic features like exposure compensation in manual plus auto ISO and something as simple as controlling ISO is not as simple as it would be on a sony or a fujifilm. And the lenses suck! There are only a scant few small lenses that are weather sealed and they're shit like f/4 (f8 equivalent) zooms.
By every objective measurement, micro four thirds is dogshit.
And yet it's fun because it's a practically disposable snip-snapper that can take whatever destructive bullshit the world throws at it as well as the newest snoy, but unlike the newest snoy, you won't be gutted when it finally dies or gets stolen.
The low resolution and DR also have their advantages if you're smart enough to know about circles of confusion. You can miss focus and have motion blur in ways that would be photo ruining on an a7r3 and they will be totally invisible. The photo will still be sharp because the blur is too subtle for the noisy ass 16mp you have to work with.
