>>4362561It varies a lot. I havent even looked for ..maybe years. Some older data in /tech is probably still vaguely relevant
http://oh-hi.info/tech I cant really be fucked doing that now, but it's probably in the order of a thousand unique hits each month, sometimes several orders of magnitude higher than that.
I'm not trying to monetize anything so i dont really care either way.
>instaWhy would I want to tolerate their EULA, bullshit requirements to give things text, sizing, or them having a universal perpetual licence to use my images because i uploaded them? When I can have complete control of my own domain, shell access, and I literally just edit, export to 720px and paste ftp the block of files in my filemanager
to the site, and thats it. It's sorted and displayed.
Shit; i cant even tolerate all the samey bullshit that is wordpress. So i don't. The site code is custom. A little bit crappy and getting old, but does precisely and only what i want. I dont get forced to give things titles, or spend a lifetime trying to find a theme that doesnt require two clicks for any image you see. You simply scroll and if you hit the bottom theres a menu for another 4 months worth of photos.
No comments, no wankerish pretentions titles or idiots talking. Just a wall of photos that you can ignore or enjoy in an effortless manner.
I dont get logs or any information from insta, they just take ownership of my shit. I dread to think how much legal ownership their eula gives them on photographers' deceased estates. The logs I have on oh-hi are stupid comprehensive, on those rare occasions i choose to look through it.
I can run a web server on my pc, and literally just clone the pc site to the internet, for testing, repair, host moves or whatever.
It still has the usual host supplied web gui, for their bells and whistles like graphical logging etc, but im not forced to use their shit to simply toss a bunch of images into the bucket and have them instantly displayed.
