>>4364212A job. Both of these cameras will slow you down in an absurdly bad, "stupid computer" way more than an ancient $50 dslr blob like a nikon d70, early mirrorless UX and autofocus was just that bad. Lots of menu diving to do basic things, frustration, hilariously shit TV screen viewfinder etc. There are still people who subconsciously retch when they see mirrorless because they think they all have the nikon coolpix experience.
Just another case of digital paradigm shifts turning into long lasting regressions. The sony is slightly better at IQ and the olympus has more gimmicks but both of these things are bad enough to keep a beginner away from the funner forms of photography that used to be more easily achievable with entry level autofocus film SLRs, and in some cases, manual focus SLRs (an "ok" ovf, even one on an AF SLR, blows these ancient EVFs out of the water for manual focus).
If you are going to buy a mirrorless camera because you just don't want to carry a boomer blob around, save your money for a more recent one. Sensor tech might have hit a plateau but mirrorless is torture compared to using a film camera from 1980 until you hit the newer ones, even the cheapest junk marketed to vloggers like the canon r50 and a6500/zve10.
