Before the Z8, nikon mirrorless was so bad that panasonic legitimately threatened their camera division with bankruptcy.

The Z8 isn't even a very good camera unless you're a professional event photographer who runs literally every snapshit through topaz photo AI when they're not just delivering medium jpegs for web journalism. It's very large and very expensive, only cheap compared to other pricey machine gunning journalism cameras like the sony a1 and canon r3 that were never, ever marketed to artists and hobbyists and are priced or designed to repel them.

The ZF is also ok if you have a lot of leica M mount lenses but dont like leica M mount cameras. It has subject detect and auto shutter release so it's auto-manual-focus.

Yes, ISO64 beats ISO100 but only slightly, IQ is almost the same since 2016.
So you get other factors to contribute, Sony wins in the AF but Nikon has a better camera body, lens selection is much better in Sony but you can adapt anything to the Z mount so it's the same.

The detail gain from 61mp isn't worth the loss in high ISO noise performance. It would be different if Sony was at 100mp, but they're not.

A7RIII - funnest camera I owned

I thought I could save a buck (more like 800 bucks) by buying it off someone who dropped it in a muddy water hole and seeing if it could be revived. The IBIS lasted maybe a year since there was a large amount of sand inside the camera and it had been transported in a trunk without a body cap.

Should have bought a second one instead of fucking around with nikons

Real life human eyeball scenes have over 23 stops of dr. Jpegs need to compress all the dr the camera sees into EIGHT stops. Pushing shadows is not doing it wrong. Its called a tone curve.
