Ok so this time we are going to make a lil jump in time and take a look at Richard Avedon and his work.
Richard Avedon (1923–2004) was one of the most influential American fashion and portrait photographers of the 20th century. Born in New York City, Avedon started his photography career in the U.S. Merchant Marine, taking identification photos, but quickly moved into fashion photography after the war. He began working for Harper’s Bazaar in the 1940s and later for Vogue, where he became known for breaking away from traditional static fashion shoots. Avedon’s images were dynamic, full of movement, and completely revolutionized how fashion was captured. But his work extended far beyond fashion—he had a deep interest in portraiture and used his camera to reveal the personality and soul of his subjects.
