Nah, there are differences in the 35mm P&S cameras. A lot of them are kinda shit, if this Nikon has a better designed lens then it will be better.

Price? Only worth it at the right price, if you enjoy the rendering of 35mm film and have the equipment or $$ to capture that rendering. If you're developing B&W at home, for example, you enjoy 35mm and will probably enjoy the P&S.

These do have a somewhat distinctive look though; they are dreamy wide open and seem to have a nice depth for landscape style shots.
The af is flaky and their build quality is par with a kmart rc car.
Worth trying for less than $50, pass at collector prices. Also remember that they made several variants down the line incl AW versions, all using the same lense. You may find those cheaper because they're not the popular one.

Is it worth the price these cams command though? I don't think so no. Even with all the superpowers you guys are bestowing those 5 pieces of glass in an aging plastic shell.

Just get whichever one you can get for cheap that you like, don't let image quality change your mind because as >>4370873 says the photos will be the same. A better thing to look out for is build quality, for example you could look for a metal one, or a unique shooting experience, like an olympus XA.

They are not being made and every year more break down.
It’s a gamble to buy as it’s prone to breaking down but it will grow in value and you can sell it for more than you brought it basically meaning you are being paid to use it.

I had one, bought it for a dollar and it worked for a bit until it didn’t. Seems like the shutter button got stuck and won’t press down. New batteries and all didn’t seem to help either
