I like to leave the back sliding door of my house open for the fresh air, but this time of the year it's like an invitation for stink bugs creep in. Once inside, they start walking on the ceiling and walls and all around until they find a cozy spot to hibernate for the winter.
Today, I picked up my suit coat in the closet and found about 100 of them sitting in the various folds of the suit coat: the sleeves, pockets, any fold so long as it was dark to them. I don't want my house to be a stink-bug homeless-shelter, so I get rid of them by just grabbing them, and then I violently throw them into the toilet. So long as they go underwater for a second, they aren't able to crawl out, due to surface tension.
I'm not trying to be gross here, but I wanted to share.
