they also feel solid in the hand, so, they have tight machining tolerances
it's a luxury brand. it's part tool, part fashion item.
In saying that, i've never had the urge to get one myself, can't justify that kinda cost for 'just' 35mm film.
I ended up getting a Canonet and it barely leaves my camera bag
