what high resolution scanner do I need for my large scale paintings?

I'm a painter, I've always been looking for neat efficient/professional ways to document my paintings
(usually I just use my EOS6D) unil I came across this video of Alberto Mielgo
where he explains he uses to scan in very high resolution portions of his paintings
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qa1ehI5xoI&t=324s).
Since then I've been obsessed with trying to replicate this method,
does anyone know what kind of scanner he's using
and if not what are some similar (maybe affordable) options?

blast it with light, base iso, f/8, let the shutter speed be whatever it needs to be

It would be ideal if you could set up some kind of hanging tripod mount so you could get the camera parallel to the ground so you don't get any perspective distortion and it would allow you to do longer exposures without motion blur.

The tilt shift will keep your shit from distorting everywhere and your modern Sony or Nikon ZF’s cameras sensor will capture far more & accurate color depth than any scanner. If you want insanely high resolution scans, you’re still better off using the tilt shift lens to photograph your painting in as many small “tiles” as you want in as much resolution as you want, then have Photochop or Affinity stich all the tiles together. It does a better job with tilt shift. Wait til you have a bunch of paintings done, then spend the money, do it right, & once you’re done with your scanning, sell the gear back off to the next guy, and the price per scan will be minimal. Don’t keep the gear, bc the next time you have a big stack of paintings to do in a couple years, there will be even better equipment to do it with, and you won’t be stuck with old gear that depreciated down to 0.

If you can afford it, hire someone that specializes in art reproduction in your area to do it. You'll get much better results and will be cheaper vs you getting all the equipment.
If you cant do that. Get a FF or larger mirrorless with pixel shift (a7riii, iv, v; S1R, GFX100, etc). Get a good sharp lens with minimal distortion and low focal plane curvature. Get a decent video light, tripod, and white wall. Shoot 2 photos, one of the art and one of just the wall, without moving camera or light.
Get raw therapee and use the flat field option in the raw processing tab use the 2nd shot to correct the lighting. export as a tiff jpg depending on needs. If local adjustments are needed open tiff in photoshop and make the changes you see fit. Again, better to just have someone with the equipment and experience do it, for $100 a piece or whatever. DO NOT hire some other photographer to do it. Its a very specialized skill set and they will give you shitty results.

Modern tilt shift lenses don't have the image circle to do this. Its easy to just move the camera and stitch it together that way. Only really necessary if you want fuck off big prints.

OP is not a rich fuck who buys paintings to show off, or someone marketing to those people. Hiring someone for each painting is not practical advice when they are just trying to document their work. It sounds like they want to do it themselves anyway.

It's hard to read from the label but you can make out "Epson Perfection V##".
There aren't many 2-digit perfection models so it's probably the V39 since that's the only one with a removable lid.
Picrel is a comparison of the label with that from an online review of the V39. As you can see they match.

Current model (V39 II) goes for about $100-120.
