Anyone else get weird vibes from 24mp cameras? The number 24 is so awkward and uncomfortable. I don't like it. 16mp is wholesome and good. 30 is also really nice. But I hate cameras with 20-something megapixels. Why is it like this?

Actually take meds. 24MP is 6000x4000 which is an easy number to work with

I feel weird using cameras with a EVF hump, it looks like a sex offender camera

It's why I dumped 2k on an a6700 crop rather than a canon or a7iii

It's also why I don't trust canon or Nikon shooters, they're all creepy bald guys with evf hump cameras

I remember when 16MP was standard for enthusiast DSLR's. The Sony chip that went into the D7000 and K-5 provided excellent image quality that I think still holds up to this day. Then we made a big jump up to 24MP, now you had enough resolution to start cropping for composition all over the place. It's a good number.
