>>4388019similar experience here, even with close friends that want to try modelling. nothing intimidating, just an excuse for them to dress up in clothes they already own and get some nice photos in a professional setting.
book hotel room / fix up my home studio, line up HMUA, sort out some light snacks, buy props, build and set up the set, then get cancelled/ghosted at the last minute with an extremely weak excuse.
and the shoot was THEIR IDEA, which is the most infuriating part.
now a few years on, they've all had kids and are whining they never got the chance to shoot with me pre-baby. i laugh my ass off at that each time.
Now I typically pay models which usually gets better reliability, but when they start asking $300-$350 for a 2 hour, non-commercial, non-nude shoot when they have next to zero modelling experience. it's basically a bullshit 'pay me because i'm pretty' fee.
I'm squarely blaming onlyfans for this one. you can be a 3/10, and if you flash your ham wallet in a cheap halloween costume in a poorly lit room, a gaggle of fucking simps will pay you $1000 a month for it.
