What's special about fuji?

Why are zoomers paying 2.5k for a point and shoot that's basically got a mediocre prime glued to it.

I thought the idea of point and shoots is having a versitile zoom lens in a tiny body

That's stupid. For many people, an f2 prime will be more versatile then a slow zoom.

nobody cares about a big ass setup with optically perfect lens.
if you are getting payed with real money for taking pictures then go ahead buy heavy lenses and big bodies, and if you don't there is no point hence a small fuji xv100
