How does a lens designer fuck up so bad that canon's 50mm f1.2 vignettes a ton and sony and nikons are identical without a computer to measure the extreme corner light loss? How does sony's smaller 28-70 f2 vignette less than canon's larger one? Just canon building to a profit margin, probably.
It's ok to admit that you were wrong about the "baby mount" and that you didn't actually understand how optics work. Sony has really thick glass in front of their sensors and it's proprietary, so it's safe to assume it works together with their lens design to make the mount work fine.
