>>4404617Besides the point that OP used a fucking terrible example, using "deceptive" elements in photography can actually be quite interesting. Part of me would prefer transparency when something is passed off as reality, but I also understand that can destroy the indended impression of the photo.
Even with the LotR ring, if it was the size of an actual ring, to get any sort of up-close shots would require high magnification for what is essentially macro shooting, which would require either razor thin DoF, or stupidly high apertures (which softens everything and makes lighting the scene challenging).
