I hate using my tripod. Setting it up is fiddly, shortening the legs is annoying and when I clamp down my ball head it moves the composition slightly. Don't even get me started on trying to use it for macro, getting the tripod to lean right is such a huge pain.
How do I buck up and learn to love my tripod? What head do you use? What genres do you shoot with it, which do you do handheld?
I appreciate what it does when everything goes right, composing with a camera that isn't moving around a little all the time makes my photos better but damn it's so annoying.
