It is a 1” sensor camcorder. They can only be so good. Its designed to be easy to use and ultimately it only looks marginally better than a newish phone.
In fact, a phone might handle high DR scenes better than a crop sensor, because it does all the underexposure and pushing automatically, while utilizing the quad bayer magic to blend exposures in real time. Photographers hate computers making DR decisions for them because it can look unnatural and forces everything to be even whether they want no contrast or not, and they prefer large sensors anyways, AND phone HDR doesnt have the editing lattitude of a large sensors natural DR, but for a normie with a small sensor, its a struggle to manage DR especially in 10 bit video - and its already a struggle with 14 bit stills.
