I just downgraded from FF to APS-C

Went from Canon R to Fuji X-T3 mainly due to lens cost and size. Now I can afford f/1.4 lenses for a third of the price and half the weight while mantaining the image quality.
I'm losing a bit of DOF and low-light performance but the tripods and flashes exist for a reason.

Won't a camera with APS-C sensor and a 1.4 lense roughly get the same'ish low light performance and depth of field as a full frame f2.8? Or will the smaller sensor still make a difference even at roughly the same "levels"?

It's more like f/2.1, so I still have slight more depth of field than my old and massive f/2.8 lenses.
With a lighter setup, I'm able to bring my camera everywhere, plus the Fujifilm simulations are superb. Sometimes I get awesome SOOC jpegs which save me a ton of time on editing. With Canon, I have to stick with RAW 99.9% of the time.
