>>4411109Film negatives will easily last 20 years, even in bad conditions. Why would you need your snapshits to hang around longer than that? If you get something amazing, store it properly and make a digital backup. But if you keep your back up and your negatives in the same place, it won't really matter because a housefire or flood will destroy both so you'll have to have a second location to store your files remotely, and you really shouldn't store your digital files on a harddrive anyway, so you should have a raid storage device and so on and so on.. you can spend thousands of dollars on a truly secure digital backup solutions.
It doesn't matter, don't worry about it. Part of what makes film good is that is it an object that can be lost, destroyed and degraded.
