Corporations are not your friends. They do not make quality products. Their goal is to spend as little as possible while convincing you to spend as much as possible. If they do not do this, the current board members are removed and replaced with ones who will.
Free services are not free. No one is developing and running tech to give it away. Yes, this includes 4chan. It's an ad or you are the product. Maybe both.
