if it is, it's probably the aperture control cable that's busted or lens diagram, to diagnose try the following:
- shoot wide open and lens retracted (zoomed-out) it should work fine
- now close the aperture and lens retracted, it probably works fine
- as soon as you zoom the lens it starts crapping out like this everytime you shoot
shut down the camera, retract the lens and remove the battery and put it back on the camera, try again.
if it's that then yeah you're not fixing it by yourself, I fixed mine while traveling in Taiwan and it cost me $90 USD, first time I had a lens repaired so idk if that's cheap or not.
