What's the point of this type of posing/facial expressions (pic rel)? It's common on social media and, as far as I know, mainly among women. I guess its origin is in the modelling industry. Well what is it trying to convey? To me it comes across as completely devoid of any emotion and consequently purposeless and pretentious.
