You do not have to stay loyal to one ecosystem.

They don’t tell you this but you can simply sell all your gear on the used market and buy a complete set on the used market.

I just spend 6 months with a canon 5dmkIV and a Blazar remus for anamorphics. Will sell it all and get a fuji gfx100 setup. Maybe after that I will experiment a little with analog Leicas

Unless you are a literal professional, you don’t need to be in an “ecosystem” at all. Amateurs that own a bazillion different lenses probably gravitate to like 2 primes 90% of the time anyway. Only insane people or professionals should have enough lenses to be financially tied to a camera system.

Agreed that professionals shouldn't do this constant ecosystem hopping strategy. It's only fun for hobbyists.

But many professionals for sure would be better off with a few good lenses instead of a catalogue.
