Help i do not know where to turn. I normally at home in the other boards.
I got married so we hired a photographer to shoot our wedding. We were able to haggle him down to 1500$ for the wedding, feast and the afterparty (He first quoted us for 1800$ first, lol).
So we payed a lot of money for it and the images and the book he provided were amazing.
But he took way more pictures than what he gave us. So i asked him for all the pics. He refused because he got paid for edited pics. So i told him i like the images natural no need to edited them.
He first denied, but i threatened him with chargeback, because i payed him to take images and he withheld them from me.
He sent me 250gb worth of files. All of them .cr3 files. I could not open them at first and needed some complicated software made by Adobe. After i got that (and paid for that) i was shocked: All the images look like total dogshit. The colors are boring and unsaturated they are not sharp.
He either is a scam because he took shit pictures and edited them to fool us OR this is plain fraud because he manipulated the files to look awful.
He blocked me and my wife on Instagram and is not replying to Emails. My wife wants to lawyer up because of the obvious fraud and charged back the payment. But i want to try to salvage the images at least.
So please help me.
