Missing my cheap Canon glass

I used to shoot on a Canon T6i with some super cheap glass mainly the 75-300mm. It was garbage, sure, but it was fun garbage and I miss not having to sell a kidney for a new lens.

I’ve since moved to a Sony A7RII(yay me) and currently shoot with an 28-70mm, but I miss having nice, long zooms. Are there any affordable telephoto or zoom options for E-mount full-frame? I’m fine with manual focus or adapting older lenses, just don’t want to drop $1K+ on a G Master.

Any hidden gems out there for broke full-frame shooters?

When people talk about a lot of great, cheap glass options for Sony E mount, what they really mean is Tamron stuff that's not any cheaper than used, older, equivalent EF stuff, but not nearly as good, and cheap chink lenses that have good optical formulas and precision optics but ghost and flare like fucking ugly because even SMC Takumar stuff had better coatings. The only brand that seems to have figured it out is Meike, but their lenses feel cheaper than they are.

Mirrorless glass is generally vastly superior to dsloplr junk or maybe about the same, just with funky focal lengths because of nikon's lawyers

lol look at it other than 24/28mm -- from 35mm on, the Canon is clearly superior, and the lead increases as the lens stops down.
But MTF isn't the only measurement of the quality of glass. Tamron and Samyang lenses tend to be pretty decent optically and have high MTF, but then fail hard at micro-contrast.
I'd rather shoot with film-era Pentax stuff, which objectively has worse MTF, worse resolution, and while it doesn't match Leica or Zeiss in resolution, tends to have very similar rendering.

Just switch to a crop sensor. The glass is cheaper and doesn't stretch out the colors like full frame.
