I have been passionate about street photography for many years, but I’ve always been a bit shy.
Now I’ve been working on being more approachable as I’m taking photos, and this is what I’ve been working on so far:
1: I have been working on smiling with both my eyes and my mouth. I don’t have a mirror at home, and it’s been hard practicing in public bathrooms, but I have made some serious progress so far.
2: I have started using a hat. It’s more stylish and I think the women will find it stylish as well. I have severe acne on my scalp, and I find it that wool stops it from oozing through.
3: I am working on losing weight. I have lost 2.7kg the past 8 months. It’s a slow grind but I’m on a steady course.
4: I have been practicing conversations. Mostly with my grandmother. She can’t respond, but I can see it in her eyes that she is captivated when I speak.
5: I have been thinking about getting a strap system so I can bring with me more lenses, and I think it would look more professional if I have them on display and not just in a backpack.
That’s pretty much it. I don’t have much money and I’m working with what I have.
What more should I focus on? Do any of you have and tips?
