I want to buy a Christmas gift for a girl and I thought of a polaroid as a great gift for her. My question to you, /p/ederasts, is whether it's worth it and not just a meme

Girls do tend to like instant film, though make sure she doesn't already have an Instax. As far as I'm aware every girl on the planet is born with one. If for some reason she doesn't already have one, you could also look at Fujis instax models. I know they have some now that are basically just a shitty little digicam with the printer build in, so it's not true instant film but I doubt she will be autistic enough to care about that. There's also vintage polaroids like the SX70, which are pretty cool.

I gave this exact model to gf 2 years ago. Quality is shit, instant film is the worst media while being the most expensive. Buy her a Rollei (not the new one), it's easy to use and looks fancy + the lens is extremely kink

Anon, unless a girl has an existing interest in photograph (meaning her first boyfriend was into photography), she is not going to care to learn how to load, unload, develop and scan film. Definitely will not want to learn how to use the camera either. Remember girls do not like your autistic hyper-fixation, they like partying and 'vibes'.

Mine too anon, but then maybe let her choose the lens, fixed lens cameras frustrate autists. If she's turbo autistic you can get a 645, if not just get a Rollei 35, it's one of the smallest 35mm ever, can fit even in girls pockets

I'm not the OP, and she shoots DLSR or mirrorless, she's not into all that polaroid fashion. Real cameras with real interchangeable lenses remind her of her childhood, especially macro lenses her father had
