I started visiting /p/ way back when as a noob, and saw what it used to be, and I try to bring bits of that back through various effort posting, and lots of photo posting
Having worked on both the retail / vendor side and directly as photographer, I also don't think you have a very good grasp of the way the the hobby has gone over the last few decades
I'm still making money through photography, and still enjoying it as an everyday hobby, and most snapshots I post is only posted here and to my IG story, and that's okay to me
What other hobbies do you do? Why haven't you shared any of your photos here yet?
What would be an indication to you that the medium has died? How, in 2-3 years can we look and say "based on x, y, z", the medium is (or is not) dead?
If you don't answer these questions with effort, just know that you're part of the reason why the board is in the state that it is.
