I'm a joshi fan though, which is how I became a fan of Vaq. You can make fun of me for that, sure. But I'm not a soldier in your gay US console wars just because I would have liked to see someone have a short AEW run to wrestle the women I like there. I even said she made the right career move in retrospect by going to WWE, because I earnestly believe that. But I guess that's not enough.
People get so schizophrenically territorial over the WWE women's division, it's unlike anything else. Nobody would get this vicious if I said a similar thing about Dragon Lee or Jeff Cobb or the MCMGs who would 100% be booked worse in AEW than Steph would be, because fans of WWE men are chill and normal. But any talk about women and AEW makes people froth at the mouth immediately because WWE women's fans are the most parasocial freaks in wrestling, somehow even worse than joshi uncles.
