Adam set up a poll and the majority was in favor of this.
Popular historical modders like The Mod Squad (a clique of modders like Genadi, Hive, Asaemon and others I probably forget) threw a fit and deleted their mods from the GDS forums, as well as their own hosting site, they said it was about the cost of hosting them being too high and it not being worth it anymore but the reality was to just give GDS the finger and deny people access to the mods.
I think most of the drama has settled, the mod squad ended, some like Genadi has returned to GDS and makes mods there again while others mod on their Wrestling Nexus site.
