HBK was obviously the heart and soul of DX, but HHH was a pretty good sidekick. He was great in the backstage segments during those years. Definitely had solid comedic timing.
But no, I don’t think the angry, water spitting Game era was actually over. Fans appreciated him (still do), which explains the famous post-injury return pop at MSG, but his solo stuff was always pretty mid, I thought.
Lot of comps to Seth Rollins, now, actually. Seth got legitimately over when he was part of the Shield. Now fans appreciate him and he’ll always get some legacy pops for it, but his current solo iteration isn’t as genuinely over.
