I'm not saying that as a joshi simp. You can't care about a match you're not invested in. You can't be invested in a match if you're not invested in the wrestlers in question. WWE and AEW don't really give you a reason to be invested in any of the women wrestlers and it's kind of hard not to be put off by their efforts to get you invested in them against your will because you know you're probably going to be disappointed as a result of your efforts.
It's easy to overlook a lot of flaws in someone's wrestling ability when they've won you over and that's really only possible in an all-women's company. Which is to say, maybe all wrestling should be segregated like in Japan.
