It feels like the opinion in the gamethread (which is a minuscule sliver of people, I know, but I think it's the truest sample size of NJPW fans on here) was overwhelmingly positive and the hate came 6 hours later when the board was busy circlejerking over Okada losing to SANADA. I agree that he looks more like a 90's ace now than he ever did before. Even though I was personally a huge fan of the space biker look he had ages ago, and I liked his previous look, he needed a change to go with his new moves, stable and card position to wash the jobber smell off.
