For example everybody knew Game of Thrones was fake but it was stupidly popular. The problem is that the writing, acting, and storytelling in pro wrestling is so fucking awful that normies are unable to form an emotional connection to it. All the /pw/ cool kids make fun of capeshit but at least capeshit tells stories that normal people actually want to see. Wresting is worse than capeshit. It's worse than Big Bang Theory. It's worse than Family Guy. It's worse than Generic Reality Show #954965046 and Generic Family Sitcom #92731823234. That's why it's so goddamn unpopular. And it can be popular again but only if it has professional writers working their asses off to make it must-see TV on par with peak GoT or The Walking Dead. But that won't happen in WWE and it sure as shit won't happen in AEW. Somebody with money and a fucking clue needs to start a new promotion. That's the only way another boom period can happen.
