>>15064222I'm eyeballing the thumbnails of months worth of these charts and honestly a neutral observer could tell whatever story they felt like in the moment.
It took Will Ospreay - who will be getting a World Title opportunity on Sunday - 15 minutes to beat Rey Fenix. 2 weeks later, it took Jay White 9 minutes to beat Rey Fenix. The numbers for Ospreay vs Fenix, through 2 separate PiP ads, understandably went down and kept going down. The average consumer doesn't want to see that shit unless they're being held captive in attendance or watching live. The dip clearly, CLEARLY represents people tuning out and saying "enough of this, we already know Will won", and that's whether there's 0 ads, or 2 ads or 12 ads.
Again.....15 minutes vs 9 minutes to beat the same person. What does that say about Ospreay? What does it say about White or Fenix? What does it say about Tony Khan for booking this stuff like a video game instead of something approximating a simulated fighting company? There is no Main Event Buff in real life. Absolutely nobody in their right mind would expect a UFC fighter to suddenly get +40 stamina, +30 endurance, -30 damage taken just because they're in the main event instead of the undercard. It's goofy. It's cartoonish and it's insulting to peoples' intelligence, and if Tony won't fix it, Zaslov will.
