The culture is too fragmented to ever achieve anything like them again. Similarly, I was trying to explain to a zoomer a few months back just how big of a phenomenon South Park was in the late 90s and how it permeated everything in the zeitgeist. Even if you didn't watch the show you still knew about it. They asked me for a modern equivalent and I couldn't come up with one. And no, Rick and Morty isn't even the same universe.
