So you crown Rhea Ripley as champion and make her the ultimate badass. You have Jade Cargill, Nia Jax and Bianca Belair all lined up to be the Kong to her Godzilla.
Yet Rhea Ripley has spent a year feuding with Liv Morgan, in a Mean Girls story where Rhea, who is supposed to be a badass is emotionally compromised by a nepo hire greaser she lured into a cult and helped attack his family on Thanksgiving, and its her that's portrayed as the sympathetic character protagonist.
Only not quite because Chat GPT can't even comprehend or explain who the good person is vs the bad person in this story. So you have milquetoast vs milquetoast, Liv Morgan playing chickenshit underdog 101, which how that helps her stock in any way I do not know, vs Rhea who should be Godzilla but instead is walking around stepping on rakes and subsequently getting hit in the face with them. Her stock isn't any better either.
Maybe this story would have worked if everyone hated Rhea Ripley and Dominick came and befriended her like James Franco did to the green witch in Oz. Maybe then we'd rightfully be sympathetic. Or maybe if Liv Morgan infiltrated the group to find Rheas weaknesses and smartly exploit them to overcome her physical shortcomings. Then maybe we'd appreciate her ingenuity.
Only none of that has happened, and instead we've gotten chapters of the story where "I see you've got a chair but I'm going to end up getting outsmarted and hit with it anyway" or "here's another person to come inject themselves for no reason at all." It doesn't make anyone look better and has hurt everyones stock.
No one would care about an inter Slytherin Harry Potter movie where the Slytherin B team is manipulating Malfoy by manipulating Crabb and Goyle. Yet thats what we are getting.
