>>13844573If AEW was a serious promotion he could've had a solid Heel run as Champion and put someone over. Sure Jay White is a skinny manlet with abs, but that would've worked just fine in AEW. His promos aren't the best when they go long, so you just don't put him in that position to begin with. Beyond that he's a very good worker, and his in-ring psychology is great. Which is how he could've put a lot of people over as a Heel by unironically giving a Babyface a Great Match that people would actually remember for more than a week because that match actually mattered because it was built up for a World Title match.
But Tony is a pussy ass coke head schizo who is just playing with his toys, and lets the wrestlers tell him "that don't work for me brother" all the time apparently. Case in point he let MJF absolutely destroy White as soon as he showed up with one of his Smark Internet Shoot promos while White just sat in the corner of the ring taking it, and then responded by actually trying to sell the match instead of going for cheap heat.
Jay White isn't the second coming of anybody, but Tony completely misused him early on and wasted whatever potential was there to use White to add something to AEW and elevate the promotion.
