Alright, 29 hours and I decided to stop. I've tried TJPW several times now, and this is by far the furthest I've gotten.
I can see why the people who like this promotion like it. It's cute, it's pretty, it's content rich, its lore is deep. I... I just can't immerse myself when the plot is essentially, "we're cute! Watch us be friends!" At hour ten, I started skipping matches, and at hour twenty started skipping main events. All characters, main included, are paper thin. They have a singular 'thing' that they are about and their entire presentation resolves around that one quality. Mizuki for example, the "popping sugar rabbit" is "cute but unstable".
The story itself is basically just, "my friend wants a title shot!" And then they wander around doing cycles of, "did she win?" "no... awwww" "let's try harder the next time!."
Bascially the characters and the story really just don't resonate with me.
