AEW are reportedly shopping around for a new TV deal, as the word going around is that the new WarnerDisc are not planning to continue its relationship with AEW, after the current deal runs its course. This isn't a knock on AEW, but the consensus is that AEW programming doesn't fit the suite of programming that will be offered by WarnerDisc. This is why AEW have not been quick to promote its next "Clash of Champions" ie Battle of the Belts event. The word is that executives in WarnerMedia had advised Tony Khan to hold off on those, as they may no longer be required or desired, once the merger happens.
