[Stardom] Double-crown champion Saya Kamitani's "dark" ambitions: "I want to appear on Shabekuri 007" and "Turn hate into the Reiwa version of the Evil Alliance"
The star of the women's wrestling world over the New Year holiday season is Saya Kamitani (28), the "Phoenix that fell into the dark" of Stardom. On December 29th of last year, she defeated Tam Nakano at the Ryogoku tournament to win the World Championship for the first time. Three days later, at the WAVE Shinjuku tournament, she defended the Regina Championship for the first time after a bloody battle. After joining the evil group "H.A.T.E." last summer, Saya has followed the path of evil, but now she has finally seized the highest championship in the organization. What is she up to? We're here to answer that question.
--It was a turbulent New Year's holiday.
>Kamitani: At the end of the year, I won the world championship at Ryogoku, and we saw Tam Nakano hit rock bottom, and then on New Year's Day at WAVE, I had a match that made the blood spurt out of my head, so I was able to have a New Year worthy of the Evil Queen. It was the best start to 2025. I'm the first double champion. I look good with my belts, don't I? Everyone is so crazy about Saya-sama, who holds the top belts from two organizations.
--On the 3rd, at the Ariake tournament, Suzuki Suzu announced her intention to challenge for the world title.
>Kamitani: I feel good being called Saya-sama by my servants, but I was really angry being called Saya-sama by that guy. Last year Suzu joined "Neo Genesis" and did things like acting like a gal, but looking at her expressions and stuff, it was obvious she was forcing it. Personally, I remember Suzu's time with Prominence before she joined Stardom, when she would go on a rampage without flocking to anyone, being crazy and really funny... She said something on the microphone like "Shall I teach you what true fear is?" and I think that's what she meant.
