>>7913340Michaels went on the air and made comments about Bret having a sexual affair with Sunny, which is personal and it wasn't anything remotely close to the truth. Bulldog had sex with Sunny and Bret took the heat to protect Davey and Diana's marriage, but Michaels in his coked-out wisdom thought that was appropriate to bring up on live TV even though he didn't know the full story. He also made disparaging comments about Stu during that time too which upset Bret's family. This culminated in their argument and fight backstage which was exacerbated because Michaels doubled down and as a result got suspended for 2 months even after getting his hair pulled out and crying to Vince about the unsafe work environment, piainting himself as the victim and not the perpetrator. How is that behavior not pre-school?
Bret was pissed Shawn forfeited the belt in February 1997, ruining plans for a Hart–Michaels rematch at WrestleMania 13, where Michaels was expected to lose the title to Hart. Shawn lost his smile or re-injured his knee or whatever piss-poor excuse he ran to because he didn't want to lose period and would throw literal tantrums at the mere suggestion of it. How is that not preschool behavior?
Shawn was also pissed Bret got a $3 million a year contract while he only got $750'00. He had to throw public and backstage hissyfits to anyone that would or had not option to listen because he can't renegotiate a better deal? How is that not preschool behavior?
Michaels at that time was a drugged up moron banging both Vince and Patterson and was literally allowed to get away with and do anything including his prima-donna diva antics. Bret saw the writing on the wall and wanted out as clean as possible and for 14 years, he only refused to do a cowboy gimmick at the start of his career. Yet refusing to lose in your home country to someone who has been an antagonistic moron to you makes him immature.
