It was presumed that he and Logan Paul were going to work a program leading into Mania, with dunkey “blowing away the expectations of all his trainers and WWE officials” during his work at the performance center. Dunkey worked several matches at the PC to high acclaim, including a match with Ricochet that was described by onlookers as “PLE quality”.
>Unfortunately none of this was meant to be as Fightful has learned that dunkey and WWE have parted ways. The major reason for this was dunkey refused to work a program with Paul after Paul was sued over CryptoZoo, an NFT-based “game” which saw thousands of people lose millions of dollars. WWE then attempted to have dunkey work a program with the Miz, but this failed to materialize after creative differences arose. Dunkey is now, technically, a free agent although it’s unknown if he plans to continue wrestling.

Dunkey has now signed a part-time performer’s contract. At this point the plan is to have him work a “comedic angle” on the main roster.
Dunkey, real name Jason Gastrow, has already begun training at the Performance Center and has blown away all expectations so far, according to sources.
This comes on the heels of Logan Paul’s massive success and an internal pivot to focusing on “e celebs and content creators” to help draw in younger viewers.
Dunkey is expected to debut some time this winter.
