Let's talk about the PoP booking.
Notes: I doubt they will go for Miu or Kamiyu as the main event for such a big show. Not that I wouldn't like it, but let's think like Koda does. He's probably gonna go for Rika or Mizuki to main event Ota-ward in July.
IF:
>Shoko retains at CFF
>Mizuki wins the 4-way
TJPW is cornered once more, because of the tag team titles and Mizuki herself:
First, Mizuki must win to look good. This would be her 4th PoP challenge overall and her second time challenging in 2022. If Shoko wins this would mean that Mizuki once again, eats shit.
Second, If Mizuki wins the 4-way, she can't be a tag champ, or there wouldn't be a tag titles match at SSM. But if Shoko/Misao win the tag belts, Shoko would have two titles, also keeping us from seeing a Tag titles match at SSM. None of these outcomes is optimal.
IF:
>Shoko retains at CFF
>Rika wins the 4-way
Both options are good and they work. Shoko retains against Rika? No problem because Rika hasn't challenged for the PoP title after losing it last year. Shoko would make her reign a lot more meaningful after another big win and hopefully ends up losing it against the winner of the Tokyo Princess Cup since they have been eating shit for the past 4 editions.
Rika wins from Shoko? No problem either because Shoko defeated Rika last year in the TPC, Rika gets her win back and can have another reign until Wrestle Princess or Ittenyon, hopefully putting over someone new at the end.
Now here's where things get bad:
IF:
>Yuka wins at CFF,
>X wins the 4-way
In this case it doesn't matter who wins the 4-way because we know Yuka wouldn't drop the title after less than a month (CFF June 12th - SSP July 9th). Making the main event of one of the biggest TJPW shows of the year, totally predictable. Even if they did a Mizuki vs. Yuka Episode II, we know Yuka wouldn't drop it right away, and that entire Summer Show would be rendered useless.
What do you think will happen?
