There's a few things in general, it was the fact that he returns the biggest night of the year, injures himself and has the whole thing on camera perfectly in the funniest way possible.
But also the UFC merger. This is one of the funniest things because Shane was eager to buy UFC and Vince said no. That merger was basically Vince pulling the ultimate "fuck you" to Shane telling him he was "right" all those years ago but he twisted that merger to serve himself. It was a glorious showing of spite.
